Synopsis
This course will cover a range of topics in basic blocks associated with enterprise planning and implementation namely - strategic planning, business architecture, information architecture, technical architecture and strategic management. In order to reinforce the theoretical concepts, various innovative technologies and information systems are used as case studies so that the application of the business processes, systems and implementation can be properly understood, leading to hands-on experience.
This course introduces the building blocks of business systems within an information and communication technology (ICT) domain.
Participants will gain skills in determining their implementation value to enterprises. This is done using approaches for researching, analysing and synthesising them from sources ranging from learned to professional journals. Learners are expected to critically analyse and apply these skills to various innovative technologies and information systems to reinforce the theoretical concepts learned in the course.
NOTE: Learners undertaking this course are required to have the ability to research with an understanding of ethical research practices. Learners are also expected to critically analyse and solve problems arising in complex organisational real-life situations.
