This course provides an overview of the role of Information Technology within an organisation and the different functions it performs to aid an organisation. Students will be introduced to the different frameworks, which are necessary to manage and maintain Information Technology. The course will cover different governance, development and operational activities with the necessary skills required to support these different processes. In addition to the different frameworks, the course also introduces some of the common compliance and standards Information Technology departments generally adhere such as ISO 27001 and The Privacy Act. The different roles and responsibilities are discussed in regards to the way in which they contribute to Information Technology.
