Pre-requisite: HSC8050 and HSC8060 and HSC8070 and Students must be enrolled in one of the following Programs: MOHH or MNSG

Other requisites

Prior to enrolling in HSC8080 Masters Project B students must have completed the following courses in the MNSG:
HSC8050 Research Methodology for the Human Sciences; HSC8060 Research Project Design and
HSC8070 Masters Project A

Synopsis

With guidance from a member of academic staff as supervisor, students will plan and design an independent [research or evaluation] project which relates to their overall program of study. This project was commenced in HSC8070 Masters Project A, and then completed in in this course. The project will lead to the preparation of a substantial written report presented at an appropriate scholarly standard. This course will operate on the basis of frequent individual consultation and feedback between the student and the staff member nominated as the study supervisor. Before enrolling in the course, students are advised to discuss their proposal with the course examiner who will allocate a supervisor for the project. Implementation of the project will be facilitated and critically reviewed through ongoing learner-supervisor interaction and negotiation.
