¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento
The ¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento is located in one of the most gorgeous natural environments in the world, the Dolomites, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage since 1997. The ¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento has high academic standards regarding research, teaching, university facilities and services. Furthermore, the ¾«¶«´«Ã½app has strong links to the territory and, along with the city of Trento, is actively committed to maintaining a high quality of life. Trento is one of the 10 ‘Smart Cities’ in the world.

Course Restrictions:
UNITN accepts incoming undergraduate and postgraduate exchange students throughout all departments and areas of study at the university. However, course restrictions may be conditioned by one or both of the following: Language level: for courses taught in Italian a minimum Italian level of A2 is required. For courses taught in English a minimum level of B1 or B2 is required. Pre-requisites: certain specialised or higher-level courses may have specific pre-requisite requirements.

Erasmus+ Funding
There are limited Erasmus+ grants, generously provided by the European Union’s Erasmus program, available to eligible students applying to study for a semester at the ¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento in Italy worth up to EUR 5750 (approx. AUD 9000). The funding can be used for associated travel and accommodation costs while in Italy. To be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant students must:
- Be eligible to receive full time credit towards their UniSQ degree (at least 3 courses approved)
- Meet all eligibility requirements for the UniSQ and ¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento exchange program
- Be enrolled in a UniSQ degree
- Be selected to receive the Erasmus+ grant and meet the terms and conditions for the funding
This grant is administered by the ¾«¶«´«Ã½app of Trento and students will only receive payment of the grant when they arrive for their exchange program to Italy. The grant may be paid in instalments for each month the student is enrolled at the partner university.

Insurance:
Health insurance is required both for the Italian visa application and the subsequent student stay permit application. You can choose between:
A private health insurance policy bought in your home country that covers emergencies and which is valid for the entire duration of your stay in Italy. If the insurance is in your mother tongue, please have it translated at least to English for the stay permit request. Some examples of private international student health insurance policies can be found in the ‘Download Box’ using the link below.
Italian Health Insurance: You can enrol in the Italian National Health Service at the cost of 149.77 euros per calendar year, which is valid from the beginning of January until the end of December regardless of the month you pay. If you choose to enrol in the National Health Service you will benefit from the same services as Italian citizens.
