Program focus

The Associate Degree of Health program offers an award that may be completed by on-campus study (with the exception of one distance education theory only course ()). All theory courses are also available by distance study. Students can undertake a blended mode of study with a mixture of on-campus and distance education courses.

Laboratory Medicine

The Associate Degree of Health aims to provide education and training for careers as medical technicians or technical officers in the private and public pathology laboratory sectors. The Associate Degree will also provide training for a career as a biomedical technician with a research capability and/or a biomedical science support role. Practical experience will be gained by specific courses structured around clinical placements in an operational medical pathology laboratory and/or by attendance at residential schools.
