Program aims
The Certificate of English for ¾«¶«´«Ã½app Studies aims to develop students’ capacity to manage information, build knowledge and communicate ideas more independently at an advanced level in English in both spoken and written forms, with a specific focus on enhancing academic English language skills to meet the more complex communication demands of tertiary studies in particular professions. English language proficiency is benchmarked at Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) 58 and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level C1.
Program objectives

Develop students’ capacity to prepare for and complete an internationally recognized test of proficiency in English language, at a level comparable to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Level C1, which meets requirements for future professional registration.

Develop students’ capacity to comprehend and produce spoken texts clearly and appropriately in English at an advanced level for fluent and spontaneous professional dialogue.

Develop students’ capacity to manage written information, think critically, and build knowledge in English at an advanced level to meet the complex communication demands of tertiary studies for particular professions.

Develop students’ capacity to communicate effectively in appropriate written and oral forms at an advanced level of communicative competence which meets acceptable requirements for professional purposes and audiences.
Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a single national, comprehensive system of qualifications offered by higher education institutions (including universities), vocational education and training institutions and secondary schools. Each AQF qualification has a set of descriptors which define the type and complexity of knowledge, skills and application of knowledge and skills that a graduate who has been awarded that qualification has attained, and the typical volume of learning associated with that qualification type.
This program is at AQF Qualification Level 05. Graduates at this level will have specialised knowledge and skills for skilled/paraprofessional work and/or further learning.

Admission requirements
Completion of senior secondary schooling in the home country or equivalent, or Year 12 in an Australian high school.
Normally, to be eligible for enrolment in the program a person will have attained an age of at least 18 years in the year of the proposed enrolment.
Students will need to complete the online application form for entry to the program.
All students are required to satisfy the applicable .
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a ¾«¶«´«Ã½app-approved . On successful completion of the English language program, you may be admitted to an award program.

A Commonwealth supported place is where the Australian Government
makes a contribution towards the cost of your higher education and

Students must successfully complete the four level I core courses. Completion of the Certificate will enable students to enrol in the Diploma of English for ¾«¶«´«Ã½app Studies and complete theEUS1005 , EUS1006 , EUS1007 and EUS1008 .
