Professional accreditation

Accounting major graduates will meet the educational entrance requirements of and (CAANZ). This provides Associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA Australia professional exams and eligibility to study the CAANZ professional exams.

Successful completion of the Accounting major can qualify students for exemptions from the Fundamental level (9 papers) of the (ACCA) exams.

Accounting major students who complete a Finance minor will meet the educational entrance requirements of the (Finsia).

Finance major graduates will meet the educational entrance requirements to become a member of the (Finsia).

The Human Resource Management major is accredited by the (AHRI) and satisfies the educational requirements for professional membership of AHRI.

The Information Technology Management major is provisionally accredited at professional level by the and, through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries.

The Marketing major is accredited by the (AMI), and students are eligible for credit towards becoming a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) upon completion.

Bachelor of Arts

Australian Qualifications Framework

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a single national, comprehensive system of qualifications offered by higher education institutions (including universities), vocational education and training institutions and secondary schools. Each AQF qualification has a set of descriptors which define the type and complexity of knowledge, skills and application of knowledge and skills that a graduate who has been awarded that qualification has attained, and the typical volume of learning associated with that qualification type.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for admission, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

• Have achieved a minimum Overall Position (OP) 16, tertiary entrance rank 64 or equivalent qualification.^

• Applicants for the double degree must satisfy the requirements for admission to the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Business and Commerce.

• English Language Proficiency requirements for Category 2.

All students are required to satisfy the applicable .

If students do not meet the English language requirements they may apply to study a ¾«¶«´«Ã½app-approved . On successful completion of the English language program, students may be admitted to an award program.

Core courses

Arts Studies

The Arts component shall comprise either:

• at least 12 courses comprising of an eight-unit major plus one 4-unit minor or 4 electives from the Bachelor of Arts , Bachelor of Communication and Media or Bachelor of Creative Arts (students choosing majors from Bachelor of Creative Arts must contact the Faculty of Business, Education, Law and Arts as not all majors are available in this degree) or

• a 12-unit extended major from the Bachelor of Arts .

At least two units from each major must be at third year level.

Business and Commerce Studies

The Business and Commerce component shall comprise an 8-unit major^{^} chosen from the Bachelor of Business and Commerce.
