Program aims
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Coaching is designed for middle to senior corporate managers and to equip graduates with superior knowledge, skills and abilities that will help them to emerge as world-class leaders. It will provide a range of strong foundational courses for leaders wishing to further their studies within the leadership domain. Based on reflective thinking and problem solving, the program will be a niche offering in leadership that will enable graduates to examine and apply a broad range of leadership ideas and concepts. Importantly, the program will help leaders to learn about their own and others’ leadership styles, how to connect with people through practices of mindfulness and emotion and how to select from a range of leadership solutions that can be applied and adapted to real-world situations. Importantly, it will enable graduates to learn the know-how and know-why skills for leading change, and for coaching, that builds leadership capacity for dealing with a range of leader-led activities within a world of constant disruption.
Program objectives
Upon successful completion of the program, students should be able to:

Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a single national, comprehensive system of qualifications offered by higher education institutions (including universities), vocational education and training institutions and secondary schools. Each AQF qualification has a set of descriptors which define the type and complexity of knowledge, skills and application of knowledge and skills that a graduate who has been awarded that qualification has attained, and the typical volume of learning associated with that qualification type.
This program is at AQF Qualification Level 08. Graduates at this level will have advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and/or further learning.

Admission requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

Completion of an Australian university Bachelor degree in any area, or equivalent.

A minimum of five years’ professional work experience equivalent to a qualification at AQF Level 7. -
English Language Proficiency requirements for Category 3.

If students do not meet the English language requirements they may apply to study a ¾«¶«´«Ã½app-approved . On successful completion of the English language program, students may be admitted to an award program.

Domestic full fee paying place

Program structure
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Coaching consists of four postgraduate courses, each of one unit.

Credit may be granted on the basis of completed equivalent postgraduate study from a recognised university. In order for credit to be granted, the claim must meet the following specific requirements:

the course was passed within five years prior to the application (courses up to 10 years old may be considered if evidence is provided that the applicant has been employed in that field)

The course passed is sufficiently equivalent in objectives, content and weightings to a similar leadership course(s), or alternatively, the course is suitable as an elective.
