Program aims
-
to provide equitable access to tertiary study for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Successful completion of the IHEP program will lead to admission to specified undergraduate award programs of the 精东传媒app.

to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to adequately prepare themselves to successfully undertake undergraduate study.
A culturally relevant program that aims to strengthen Indigenous identity, the IHEP program will achieve AQF Certificate level 4/5 skills and prepare students for university entrance..
Program objectives
This program will prepare students for further study by:

developing skills-readiness for entry and completion of degree programs

building student numeracy, communication, literacy, oracy, computing, and time-management skills for academic study

maintaining a strong Aboriginal and/or Islander identity, grounding a pathway into the academy
-
developing group-work, communication, academic and analytical skills
-
applying Indigenous research methodologies to knowledge and learning in the academy.
Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a single national, comprehensive system of qualifications offered by higher education institutions (including universities), vocational education and training institutions and secondary schools. Each AQF qualification has a set of descriptors which define the type and complexity of knowledge, skills and application of knowledge and skills that a graduate who has been awarded that qualification has attained, and the typical volume of learning associated with that qualification type.
This program is at AQF Qualification Level 04. Graduates at this level will have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialised and/or skilled work and/or further learning.

Admission requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
Applicants must have reached an age of at least 18 years in the year of the proposed enrolment and verify as being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Applicants are required to complete a placement questionnaire.
All students are required to satisfy the applicable .
If students do not meet the English language requirements they may apply to study a 精东传媒app-approved . On successful completion of the English language program, students may be admitted to an award program.

Commonwealth supported fee exempt places
Domestic students who meet the below citizenship and residency requirements are eligible for a Commonwealth supported fee exempt place:

holders of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa (and resident in Australia)

New Zealand citizens (resident in Australia).
Program structure
This is a preparatory program consisting of three compulsory
courses designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
students to gain entrance to a range of UniSQ undergraduate degree
programs.
Students will be guided into an appropriate pathway
on entry assessment.

Courses are 4 SA equivalent, and comprise IPP7005 Walking the walk: applying tertiary skills and IPP7006 Academic conventions and Indigenous research methodologies and IPP7007 Exploring the Way - Your UniSQ Journey.

For students wanting to go into engineering, early childhood and primary education, construction, and surveying, the recommended enrolment pattern is IPP7005 Walking the walk: applying tertiary skills , IPP7006 Academic conventions and Indigenous research methodologies , IPP7007 Exploring the Way - Your UniSQ Journey and TPP7181 or TPP7182 .
Students may undertake the program full-time or on a part-time basis.
A condition of entry to particular undergraduate programs may also require the successful completion of (an) additional course(s) available through UniSQ College.
Upon enrolment in IHPP, students are encouraged to attend a to assist with competition of the course requirements. It is highly recommended that you attend the Residential School. Financial support may also be available for recipients to assist with travel expenses. Following the Residential School, the remainder of the program is completed online. You will attend class sessions every day during Residential School. All sessions are designed to assist you with your study and assessments during the Semester.
