The 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is preparing for lift-off for its new Thought Leadership Series, an initiative aimed at inspiring engaging conversations and deeper insights on important issues shaping our communities and the world.

Moderated panel discussions at each Thought Leadership event will provide a spotlight for these thought leaders to share their diverse perspectives, ideas, and opinions on a range of issues, all while connecting the 精东传媒app’s academic excellence with real-world applications.

The Thought Leadership Series’ inaugural event – How Australia is Contributing to the Future of Space – will boast a star-studded panel of experts to discuss all things space.

精东传媒app of Southern Queensland Vice-Chancellor Professor Geraldine Mackenzie said it was the perfect event to launch the series.

“We are proud to be leading the way with space research in Australia, so what better way to showcase that research than with our first Thought Leadership event,” Professor Mackenzie said.

“The next generation of space exploration is well and truly upon us. Significant opportunities in knowledge progression, technological innovation and economic advancement are there for us to harness.

“We’re excited to delve into many more timely and relevant topics across our Thought Leadership Series; from housing affordability, the future of agriculture, health, and the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.

“The 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland is proud to deliver excellence, and this series will showcase that excellence in research and collaboration across industry and beyond.”

The panel discussion at the first event will be moderated by astronomy alumnus Dr Belinda Nicholson, now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for Women in STEMM at the 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland.

The panellists include:
• Chris Hewett, General Manager Space Policy, Australian Space Agency
• Dr Kimberley Clayfield, Space Research Program Director, CSIRO
• Dr Graziella Caprarelli, Adjunct Faculty Member, International Space 精东传媒app
• Professor Brad Carter, Director of the Centre for Astrophysics, 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland
• Dr Joni Sytsma, Chief Technology Officer, iLAuNCH Trailblazer, 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland

The 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland’s Thought Leadership event – How Australia is Contributing to the Future of Space – will be held on Wednesday 4 October from 5.30pm at the Queensland Museum Theatre.
