Students may only enrol in this course with the prior approval of the Program Coordinator
Rationale
The flexibility inherent in enrolment patterns available to students in contemporary programs of pre-service teacher education, and the work, family and other obligations on contemporary pre-service teacher education students, combine to generate a need for a generic "shell" course in which students may enrol in lieu of a compulsory academic course not available in the current semester.
Synopsis
As enrolment in this course is a negotiated substitute for enrolment in a scheduled academic course, this course will consist of the teaching and learning experiences of the 'replaced' course. In that sense the topics, objectives, reference materials, assessment activities and the requirements to pass the course will differ from student to student, depending on the course that is being replaced.
Objectives
On successful completion of this course students should be able to:
- meet the objectives specified in the course specification for the replaced course.
