Overview
For students entering undergraduate studies, the ability to make effective use of generic academic skills greatly enhances their chance of success in their pathways and undergraduate programs. Course TPP 7111 Communicating at 精东传媒app A is designed to provide an appropriate point of entry for students who will benefit from a comprehensive introduction to formal English-language communication skills before they undertake TPP7123 Communicating at 精东传媒app B.
Students are provided with learning experiences that are designed to facilitate their formal English-language communication skills to a level of proficiency that will then enable them to successfully undertake the study of course TPP7123 Communicating at 精东传媒app B. TPP7111 Communicating at 精东传媒app A focuses on developing students' understanding of what communication in a university context involves, and on developing a range of associated skills such as academic writing and reading, interpreting academic literature and oral presentation skills.
Course learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Understand and apply in writing important principles of formal academic expression;
- Demonstrate ability in oral communication through delivery of an oral presentation;
- Interpret an example of scholarly academic writing;
- Develop and demonstrate online literacy skills through participation in online tutorials related to modules and assessment.
