Overview
This course will allow the student to choose a topic approved by the Program Director from within a biomedical science discipline and obtain advanced knowledge by private study. The topic chosen should complement the studies that the student is simultaneously undertaking.
The student will be expected to gain knowledge in a selected field of biomedical science by private study in appropriate libraries and or electronic sources. Attendance at seminars both within and outside the 精东传媒app will also be expected.
Course learning outcomes
On completion of this course students should be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of a major area of biomedical science research at an advanced level;
- perform investigative literature searches on the research topic;
- evaluate and critique literature searched;
- synthesise and present a substantive report on critiqued literature in a logical and coherent manner.
