Synopsis
This course requires students to undertake a review of the literature associated with their project area as directed by their academic supervisor. Students will negotiate with their supervisor to agree on the exact format of their project, due dates and a schedule of supervision. It is important that students identify an appropriate supervisor and obtain their approval and ability to supervise the project prior to the start of the semester of study. As part of this process students should be able to outline a substantial project that incorporates significant theoretical issues as well as providing practical experiences relevant to their career development. It is possible that students can use this course to build on the project work in BUS8101, additionally this can be an independent project. Project work undertaken in this course will normally involve data gathering and analysis based on a research proposal which aims to provide a set of career enhancing experiences for the student. Enrolment in this course is subject to the availability of a supervisor and may be sponsored by the student's employer. It is the student's responsibility to identify a suitable and willing supervisor for this project.
