Synopsis
This course focuses on oracy as a pathway to literacy, structured text patterns of speech and written text and the correlation between western and First Nations educational systems. Students will develop an understanding of written and spoken text patterns and apply the learned principles in a Introduction to Self and a short text presentation. This course celebrates the knowledge that students bring with them and facilitates self-identification as a scholar.
