Synopsis

This course continues to expand the students' knowledge of contract law. This course will build upon the understanding of the principles of the law of contract gained in LAW1113 Civil Obligations A (Contract and Torts). Specifically the aim of this course is to equip students with further knowledge of the law concerning the content of a legally enforceable contract as well as the manner in which contracts are interpreted, vitiating factors, the manner in which contracts may be performed or discharged, the legal remedies available in the event of a breach or non-performance of a contract and aspects of the law regarding contracts for the international sale of goods. Students will also further develop their research skills.
