Overview

This course offers students the ability to acquire advanced understanding of the process of exegesis writing and to be engaged in creative arts practice-led research. This course offers creative arts researchers the opportunity to investigate their own original contribution within an exegesis context that is aligned to professional arts practice at the highest level.

The course offers critical approaches to writing an exegesis for creative arts practitioners. This is a high-level base course that will provide students the research grounding and skills to best position their practice within a research context. Students will be offered the opportunity to investigate and gain greater awareness of the different approaches to the exegesis form, style and content within their specific creative arts field or hybrid arts- practice research. Given this knowledge, students will be highly self-directed, while working closely with their supervisor in their strategic approach to their exegesis design and approach to practice-led research.
