Overview

An important outcome of post-graduate level study is that learners should be able to design and execute independent projects that consolidate, build upon and/or apply the knowledge and skills developed through their program of study in their workplace. This course, taken at, or towards the end of the program, is part of a 'capstone experience' that enables students to synthesise the knowledge and skills developed in earlier courses of their program into an approved research project focused on a key aspect of their interest or specialisation. This course is the initial stage of a two-course project.

This is the first of two courses that contribute towards the Nursing Masters Project. With guidance from a member of academic staff as supervisor, the student will undertake an independent research project which relates to their overall program of study. The student will gain all necessary approvals for undertaking the research including ethics approval and undertake data collection and analysis project.
