Overview
The essential component to any business is people.  Recruiting, managing, inspiring and engaging those who work in an organisation can take up considerable resources, however if done well, can provide a strategic competitive advantage. Harnessing the power and capabilities of people requires a leader who can build capacity within a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and HR enterprise frameworks.  Leaders can unlock the potential of their people by mobilising synergies between staff and organisational values and creating a shared understanding and commitment to excellence. Powerful communication and an understanding of the motivations of employees are essential to staff engagement. Successful mobilisation strategies also need to address organisational challenges and emergent local and global opportunities.
This course will challenge students to investigate different models of staff engagement supported by well-crafted HR policies and procedures. You will identify strategies and approaches that can mobilise people, both as individuals and in teams, to achieve organisational purpose within the boundaries of regulatory and legislative requirements. As a successful leader you need to create and lead teams, communicating appropriately and with impact and managing performance. At the completion of this course, you will have developed mobilisation strategies at the individual, group and systems levels of an organisation that will ultimately allow the organisation to achieve its goals.
