Overview

Practicing as a paramedic in the clinical environment requires the application of knowledge and skills in an often unstable and changing environment. Clinical reasoning and judgement, decision making, and critical thinking are paramount to the paramedic鈥檚 application of knowledge and skills to become an effective practitioner.

Applied Paramedicine 2 is a capstone course that addresses content to enable students to operate as a graduate paramedic. This capstone course provides the opportunity for all previously acquired skills, knowledge and attributes to be refined to prepare graduates for practice within the industry. In particular, the content will address clinical decision making, critical thinking, reflective practice and review the overall competencies required to practice as a paramedic.
