Overview

Psychological assessment is a basic skill for all areas of applied psychology. Using workshops and case studies, students will learn about the development of testing skills and the application of testing principles in clinical settings.

This course provides training in the development of skills necessary for conducting psychological assessment including interview skills, administration and scoring, interpretation, and professional report writing. Assessment strategies, including the use of standardised psychological test instruments will be identified, discussed, and practiced. There is a focus on cultural considerations when conducting psychological assessments within this course.
