Overview
Learning integrated work allows students to apply theoretical and practical knowledge, and skills and capabilities, to their current professional or industry work place in the desired major area of study. The course enables students to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a practical context that is aligned with their area of study, and to reflect and report on that experience.
Students who are currently working within their major area of study undertake projects in the course of their employment and within the context of the student's area of study. Students will reflect on their own work practices and those of their employer, and will receive feedback from their employer and academics who supervise the assessment of these projects. Students therefore strengthen their discipline-specific learning and specialise within their current employment, and gain a critical understanding of the role of reflection on learning and self-evaluation.
