Overview

Specialised cognitive and technical skills are required to be able to independently undertake research. In particular, the ability to evaluate, interpret, and possibly use existing scientific data is required to be able to effectively incorporate these outcomes into one鈥檚 own research. This course aims to enable students to develop these research skills to a level consistent with the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework. On completion of this course students are expected to gain specialised skills to independently research and apply established theories and interpret and transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to specialist and non-specialist audiences.

This course provides students with an opportunity to develop scientific research skills by interpreting existing data and transmitting this knowledge via the associated course assessment. The topic associated with the research in this course will be chosen by the student in consultation with the course examiner via the course 精东传媒appDesk forums. On completion of this course students are expected to gain specialised knowledge and skills required to undertake independent research by applying established theories and interpreting and transmitting their knowledge, skills and ideas to specialist and non-specialist audiences. The use of project-based learning provides students with an opportunity to carry out data-based research of a topic relevant to their program study area.
