Overview
Avid Media Composer as industry standard software heavily present in motion picture, major productions, documentaries, television programs and commercial production. Students undertaking this course are building on the skills established in the introductory course, TVR 2003. In this course students will continue on with their skill development and application by working on more advanced bodies of work. To support this work students will work on commercial productions, such as advertisements, promotions and corporate video style product. This will involve the use of Media Composer and Pro-tools.
Media composer and Pro-tools are industry standard software and is used extensively in film, television productions and across a range of audio productions.
Students will be required to work with existing footage and or capture footage for use in a range of advanced AVID video editing. The student will use their foundational knowledge established in the introductory course.
Students will use correct terminology in reference to the software and workflow, interact with the software in a confident and proficient manner. The student will become familiar with shortcuts, effective use of the software and assemble a few different products that will demonstrate the skills developed.
The effective use of video and audio is vital in all productions and students will become familiar with the interaction between the various software and media workflow.
