Overview
Industry practice use of modelling techniques for design, optimisation and innovation using various general and industry discipline-based software is now the norm. The is a preparatory course for this industry readiness, but all the demonstration of application of these tools and skillset associated in preparation for ENG6002 (capstone group design and innovation practical) and master's engineering student's personal capstone research project and research portfolio.
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop industry and research based numerical modelling general tools, but also discipline specific tools and skillset associated. This includes the technoeconomic impact modelling techniques to evaluate technical modelling and research investigation/innovation in terms of consequences/benefits/risk/criticality assessment in terms of profit/loss, EOL, LCA, environmental gains/imposts and sustainability associated that is required by the Engineers Australia current Code of Ethics and Conduct.
