Program aims
The program aims to produce graduates who have an advanced awareness, understanding and appreciation of the complexities of human thought, expression and behaviour as reflected in a specified discipline area. Graduates will also have demonstrated their capacity for specialised study, research and scholarship at a higher level and/or in applying knowledge in employment or community service, and have enhanced further their personal, cultural, creative and intellectual capacities.
Program objectives
On successful completion of the program students should be able to:

evaluate and critically analyse a range of ideas and theories pertaining to the arts or humanities

demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills and competency in the content, epistemology and appreciation or practice of a particular discipline

conceive, plan, research and execute a project requiring research, scholarship, composition, and interpretation at an advanced level.
Admission requirements
Entry to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) shall be by a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science degree of the 精东传媒app of Southern Queensland or other recognised bachelor's degree from a recognised university with one of the following:

pass at a credit level (grade point average of 5.0/7 i.e. 71.4 per cent) in the entire program and Faculty of Business, Education, Law and Arts permission

a grade point average of 5/7 (71.4 per cent) across all levels in the proposed Major 精东传媒app in the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Social Science, including an 'A; or better level pass in at least one course
-
a grade point average of 5.2/7 (75 per cent) in the third level of the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science, including an 'A' or better level pass in at least one course.
A candidate with an equivalent qualification may receive special permission from the Faculty of Business, Education, Law and Arts.

Program structure
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program consists of eight units of study comprising four units of coursework, some of which are Core for the various majors (see below for details), and four units of supervised dissertation. The dissertation component must be completed over two consecutive semesters.
