Synopsis
This course examines construction project management and focusses on the functional, managerial and business issues impacting the nature of a problem and the problem solving approaches to address project performance and management. Students will work together as part of a team on tasks exploring a wide range of construction project management and performance topics. These include:
. Project scope development
. Analysis of project alternatives from a business point of view
. Identifying and assessing performance criteria
. The role of teamwork and decision making in formulating and pursuing achievable strategies
. The impact of proper planning on organisational and project performance
. Apply construction and project management theory and knowledge areas to a real world situation
Each team will take on the roles required to complete the tasks and undertake an oral and written presentation to a professional standard and project report to the client that will address the relevant issues.
This course contains a mandatory residential school.
