Pre-requisite: IELTS 5.0, or equivalent, in all band scores or pass in ENS7803 plus completion overseas or in Australia of Senior High School or Post-secondary diploma or first year degree or equivalent work experience.
Synopsis
In this course, reading and writing have been organised around introductory concepts, skills and strategies that students need to develop in order to manage the academic language encountered in a university preparation course. Students perform a variety of tasks which require them to apply appropriate skills and strategies. Reading focuses on the process of reading, from previewing through to demonstrating a good working knowledge of the text. Writing also works through a process from brainstorming and organising ideas to writing first and final drafts.
