Pre-requisite: Students must have successfully completed HMT4005 or BCA8002 or HMT4007 or be enrolled in DPHD program

It is recommended students successfully complete a minimum of four Masters level courses before enrolling in MAR8006. Student enrolment is subject to the agreement of an appropriate supervisor.

Synopsis
This course enables students to undertake research in an area of specialist study through independent learning. The course builds on theory and practice taught previously in students' chosen arts major. To complete this course students will be required to devise a special research project on a central theme or topic area. Students will demonstrate advanced scholarship through the submission of professional reports or an extended research essay completed in 2 parts. The total word count of the assessment will be 5,000 words.
