This course serves as an introduction to Australian literature and the role it plays in the formation of cultural identities. It examines the heterogeneity of Australian culture through its stories and will direct particular attention to the way in which narrative reinforces or reimagines social, cultural, and political values. It will introduce you to a range of works in the field and explores the interpretation and application of works of literary criticism in appropriate contexts.
