Overview

Journalists need to make informed choices about how and where to present journalistic content. These choices can either enhance or diminish effective communication with audiences. This course focuses on the importance of creating and tracking audience engagement, the shaping and packaging of content, and its impacts on the quality of journalism.

In this course, you will use analytics to understand and drive audience engagement, and measure the performance of the newsroom's outputs. You will also advance your journalism production skills to impact engagement through news design and communication choices, and manage the professional issues that arise in the process of making news design decisions.
