What is a Course Reading?

Course Readings are key information resources that support the learning and teaching activities during a course offering.

This includes the Mandatory Text(s) listed in the Course Specification, and additional or recommended readings intended to enrich student learning.

Individual readings or resources in a reading list are referred to as 'citations'.

Course Readings are distinct from learning objects such as lecture slides and worksheets, that are usually stored in eLOR.

Course Readings might include	Course Readings do not include:
mandatory course texts recommended and additional readings, such as: journal articles eBooks and eBook chapters national and international standards scanned copies of books, book chapters and articles streamed media items from the Library catalogue	Lecture recordings, notes and slides Tutorial materials Resources stored in eLOR study support resources exemplar student works non-authoritative web content audio-visual recordings and photographs assessment materials
