Australian Qualifications Framework

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a single national, comprehensive system of qualifications offered by higher education institutions (including universities), vocational education and training institutions and secondary schools. Each AQF qualification has a set of descriptors which define the type and complexity of knowledge, skills and application of knowledge and skills that a graduate who has been awarded that qualification has attained, and the typical volume of learning associated with that qualification type.

This program is at AQF Qualification Level 06. Graduates at this level will have broad knowledge and skills for paraprofessional/highly skilled work and/or further learning.

Recommended Enrolment Pattern - Occupational Therapy Stream - Full Time

Occupational therapists enable people to perform all the things that would normally 'occupy' their day. That might include taking care of self-care tasks, performing work duties, engaging in classroom learning, participating in social interactions or doing things for leisure. When a person's health or circumstances impact on those things, occupational therapists might become involved. The courses you study will enable you to assist an Occupational Therapist to identify a clients’ strengths and difficulties, help with solutions, and help them to take part in everyday life.
